The final regular-season week of the 2025 WNFC season is here. With seven games on tap for Saturday, May 17, this is the last opportunity for athletes to cement their names atop the stat charts and for teams to lock in seeding ahead of the postseason. Several races remain wide open, here’s who’s still in play, what they need, and who fans should be watching.

Top Scoring Teams: A Fight to Finish First

Texas Elite Spartans (234 points, 39 PPG) have completed their regular season and are the presumptive top offense unless Mississippi Panthers (173 points, 34.6 PPG) or Washington Prodigy (170 points, 34 PPG) go off in Week 8.

  • Opportunity: Panthers face a strong Atlanta Truth defense, while the Prodigy have a chance to put up big numbers against the Tennessee Trojans, who give up 15.4 PPG.

Projected Final Top 5 in Team Scoring:

  • Texas Elite Spartans (final)

  • Washington Prodigy (projected 200+)

  • Mississippi Panthers (projected 195+)

  • San Diego Rebellion

  • Chicago Winds

Defense: Rebellion Looking Dominant

Projected Final Top 5 Defenses:

  1. San Diego Rebellion

  2. Texas Elite Spartans (final)

  3. Washington Prodigy

  4. Mississippi Panthers

  5. Chicago Winds

Total Offense: Panthers or Spartans?

Texas Elite Spartans (1,649 yards) are idle, giving the Panthers (1,609 yards) a chance to leapfrog them with just 41 yards needed to finish as the #1 offense.

  • Opportunity: Panthers need a 200+ yard day to take the crown.

Also watch: Chicago Winds, who could break into the Top 3 if they rack up 300+ yards vs Kansas City Glory.

Projected Final Top 5 in Total Offense:

  1. Mississippi Panthers

  2. Texas Elite Spartans (final)

  3. Chicago Winds

  4. Washington Prodigy

  5. San Diego Rebellion

Rushing Queens: Will Curtis or Wesley Finish on Top?

  • Meagan Curtis (Legends) – 412 yards, plays Utah Falconz

  • Kesz Wesley (Rebellion) – 394 yards, plays Denver Bandits

Opportunity: If Curtis can log 50+ yards, she likely holds off Wesley. But Wesley only needs 19 yards to surpass her.

Projected Top 5 Rushing Yards:

  1. Kesz Wesley (Rebellion)

  2. Meagan Curtis (Legends)

  3. Destanie Yarbrough (Spartans)

  4. Jazmin Gamble (Legends)

  5. Regina Escoto Macias (Rebellion)

Passing Title Showdown: Brown vs Teubner

  • Melyse Brown (Panthers) – 1,000 yards, 8 TDs

  • Sarah Teubner (Winds) – 838 yards, 16 TDs

Opportunity: Teubner faces KC Glory and could push for the TD crown (already hers) and yardage if she throws for 200+.

Projected Top 5 Passers:

  1. Melyse Brown (Panthers) – likely to retain yardage title

  2. Sarah Teubner (Winds) – likely to retain TD lead

  3. Michelle Angel (Spartans) – season complete at 621 yards, 14 TDs

  4. Ashley Clark (Prodigy) – could jump Angel with 220+ yards

  5. Karen Mulligan (Wave) – season complete

Receiving Leaders: Miles in Control, But Close Behind

  • Dajour Miles (Winds) – 344 yards, 9 TDs

  • Madison Grayson (Wave) – 285 yards, season done

  • Kelly Stack (Falconz) – 254 yards, plays Legends

Opportunity: If Stack explodes for 100+, she could steal 2nd place. Miles needs 25-30 yards to safely seal the receiving title.

Projected Receiving Yardage Top 5:

  • Dajour Miles (Winds)

  • Kelly Stack (Falconz)

  • Madison Grayson (Wave)

  • Shaquanda Gainey (Prodigy)

  • Summer McNeal (Spartans)

Tackles & Defensive Takeovers

  • Madeline Violette (Winds) – 69 tackles, playing vs KC Glory

  • Megan Robertson (Falconz) – 51 tackles, 11.5 TFLs

Opportunity: Violette is untouchable atop the tackle leaderboard, but the TFL race could tighten if Robertson delivers another dominant outing.

Sack Race:

  • Kuzmova (Rebellion) and Greer (Ravens) tied at 4.5. Hollenshed and Avery are just behind.

Interceptions Leader:

  • Myla Somerville (Prodigy) leads with 5 INTs. Watch for her vs Trojans to set a new league record.

Special Teams X-Factors

  • KR Leader: Brittany Jones (Bandits) – 210 yards

  • PR Leader: Taranisha Taylor (Rebellion) – 150 yards, 1 TD

Watch: Gutierrez (Majestics) and Scott (Panthers) could shake up return leaderboards with a big finale.

Scoring Leaders Race:

  • Dajour Miles (Winds) – 56 points

  • Yarbrough & McBay (Spartans) – 42 each, season done

  • Jenea Walker (Panthers) – 36, plays ATL

Projected Final Scoring Top 5:

  1. Dajour Miles (Winds)

  2. Destanie Yarbrough (Spartans)

  3. Ashley McBay (Spartans)

  4. Jenea Walker (Panthers)

  5. Kesz Wesley (Rebellion)

Final Week Matchups to Watch – May 17, 2025

  • Washington Prodigy vs Tennessee Trojans – Stat-growth opportunity for Clark, Gainey, and Somerville.

  • Atlanta Truth vs Mississippi Panthers – Brown and Walker aim big vs top-tier defense.

  • Kansas City Glory vs Chicago Winds – Teubner + Miles look to secure the top offensive crown.

  • San Diego Rebellion vs Denver Bandits – Wesley and Kuzmova can lock rushing and sack titles.

  • Utah Falconz vs LA Legends – Stack and Gamble in a receiving showdown.

  • Seattle Majestics vs Oregon Ravens – Gutierrez, Gamble, and Lopez close out at home.

  • Florida Avengers vs Houston Mambas – Look for breakout performances from new names.
