A historic moment for the game, as WNFC women’s pro football stars step inside adidas global headquarters to help shape the future of American football.

For the first time in the 100+ year history of women’s tackle football, a group of athletes has been invited inside a global sports brand’s inner circle.
Last week, the Women’s National Football Conference (WNFC) officially launched the inaugural adidas Athlete Ambassador Program, welcoming seven of the league’s top athletes to adidas global headquarters in Portland for a groundbreaking, first-of-its-kind experience.
This moment marks a turning point, not just for the WNFC, but for the future of women’s professional football.
“We invited them in because we wanted to hear from them — listen, learn, and understand what they need to perform at the highest level.” — Cam Collins, Head of adidas Sports Marketing – Football
A Seat at the Table
Inside adidas HQ — these athletes didn’t just tour, they contributed.
The group engaged directly with adidas Football leadership, product design teams, and sports marketing executives, while also getting exclusive access to the brand’s new innovation lab. The innovation lab is designed to serve the world’s best athletes and transform performance insights into products that will define the future of sport.
“Being part of history as one of the first athletes from the WNFC chosen for this moment means so much to me, and it’s something I’ll carry with pride. From the moment we arrived, everything was unforgettable, exploring the campus, connecting and bonding with the other amazing athletes selected, and getting to meet and spend time with the entire Adidas team who welcomed us with so much energy and support.” - Dajour Miles , WR - Chicago Winds
The group participated in product and innovation discussions, brand storytelling sessions, content and media capture, and strategic conversations shaping the future of the sport. But what made this experience different was perspective. These athletes brought something the industry has historically lacked: the voice of women who play full-contact tackle football at the highest level.
Meet the Inaugural Class
The first WNFC x adidas ambassador class features seven athletes who represent the elite tier of performance, leadership, and visibility across the league:
Michelle Angel (QB) — Texas Elite Spartans
Paulina Lopez Lopez (LB) — Golden State Storm
DaJour Miles (WR) — Chicago Winds
Kola Shippentower (OL) — Oregon Ravens
Ashley Clark (QB) — Washington Prodigy
Brooke Singer (K) — Jersey Shore Wave
Katie Claxton (LB) — San Diego Rebellion
This isn’t a symbolic class. It’s a performance class. The athletes selected represent teams that ranked among the top scoring and most competitive in the WNFC.
They are IX Cup Champions, WNFC All-Pro selections, league record holders, statistical leaders and culture drivers of the sport.
They are, simply put, the best of the best in women’s tackle football.
The Future Is Now
The WNFC was built to accelerate equity and opportunity for women through football. Moments like this prove that vision is becoming reality. This inaugural ambassador class is more than a partnership activation, it’s a signal:
That women’s tackle football belongs at the highest levels of sport
That brands are beginning to invest in that future
And that the athletes driving the game forward are finally being seen
From Portland to stadiums across the country this season, these seven athletes will carry that momentum forward, on the field, across content, and into the next era of football.
Football Looks Like This.
