WNFC to Suspend Team Operations in Denver and Houston.

  • 1 min read

As the Women’s National Football Conference (WNFC) continues to evolve as the premier destination for women’s tackle football, we remain committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism, operational excellence, and athlete experience.

Effective immediately, the WNFC will suspend team operations in Denver and Houston. This decision follows a thorough review of both markets’ by the WNFC Executive Board.

While we recognize the effort and contributions of our existing teams in these markets, our responsibility is to ensure that all teams within the WNFC operate at the highest level consistent with the league’s mission and future trajectory. The decision to suspend operations was made in alignment with our commitment to build a sustainable, athlete-centered, professional league.

The WNFC will continue to evolve with intention, expanding in markets that support our vision, and making strategic decisions that reinforce our growing value and position as the premier destination for women's pro football.

Stay tuned for more updates as we announce National Tryout Day 2025 and continue through the Free Agency period.
