The Women's National Football Conference (WNFC) is proud to announce the return of Got Her Back, its signature girls’ football and empowerment initiative, during Super Bowl week in 2026. This year, the FREE camp heads to Oakland, California, bringing together football, mentorship, and confidence building for more than 200 girls, hosted at Oakland Technical High School.

Presented in partnership with Dove and supported by adidas, Riddell, Dick’s Sporting Goods Foundation, and more, this event brings the Dove’s Body Confident Sport program to life, on the field, in community, and with purpose.

What Is Got Her Back?

Got Her Back is the official charitable foundation of the WNFC, created to celebrate, protect, and advance girls and women in football. Through camps, clinics, and national activations, Got Her Back provides girls with access to professional women football players, coaches, and role models who have walked the path they aspire to take.

What makes Got Her Back different is simple and powerful: girls are supported to stay in the game, by other women and girls.

We intentionally create spaces where:

  • Girls are encouraged, not compared

  • Families are welcomed, not sidelined

  • Confidence is built alongside skills

  • Joy, laughter, and celebration are just as important as drills and reps

From first-time participants to seasoned athletes, Got Her Back meets girls where they are and invites them to grow together.

The Power of Football

The Oakland camp will feature hands-on tackle and flag football instruction led by professional women’s football players and coaches from across the WNFC. Girls will rotate through skill stations, learn fundamentals, play, compete, laugh, and experience what it feels like to belong in football spaces designed for them.

But this day is about more than football. It is about:

  • Trying something new

  • Being loud, proud, and confident in your body

  • Seeing women lead on and off the field

  • Feeling supported by a community that says: You belong here.

Bringing Body Confident Sport to Life

This event also represents a powerful continuation of the WNFC and Dove collaboration, activating the Dove Body Confident Sport curriculum with real-world impact.

Parents, caregivers, and coaches are encouraged to attend the Body Confidence Clinic, where they will learn tools and strategies from Dove’s Body Confident Sport program, part of the globally recognized Dove Self-Esteem Project. The program equips coaches to better support girls in sport, helping them build confidence, resilience, and a healthy relationship with their bodies.

Research shows that nearly half of girls drop out of sports by age 14, often due to body confidence. Got Her Back is working to interrupt that trend in football, by surrounding girls with positive reinforcement, strong role models, and environments where confidence is cultivated, not questioned.
