One Week Remains. The WNFC Playoff Picture is Almost Complete.

With seven weeks of the 2026 WNFC regular season complete, the postseason picture is beginning to sharpen, but this weekend’s matchups will decide those final spots.

At the top of the rankings, familiar contenders continue to hold their ground. Texas Elite strengthened its hold on the No. 1 spot after a statement win over Kansas City. At the same time, Utah continued its rise with another disciplined performance, remaining firmly inside the Top 2. Mississippi and Washington both handled business convincingly, reinforcing the strength of the league’s top tier heading into the final week of the regular season.

While the top of the rankings feels more stable, the middle remains critical to the final conference playoff structure. With only one regular season week remaining before the final rankings and postseason announcement, every remaining result matters.

Week 7 Results that Shaped the Race

The Week 7 WNFC Rankings reflected something the league has been building toward all season: separation at the very top, and intense pressure everywhere underneath it.

With only one week remaining before the final rankings and conference playoff announcements, voters appeared increasingly focused on consistency, head-to-head results, strength of schedule, and which teams look most prepared for postseason football.

At the top, there was once again very little debate.

The Texas Elite Spartans remained the unanimous No. 1 team in the WNFC, collecting all 23 first-place votes after improving to 5-0 with a dominant win over Kansas City. More importantly, Texas continues to validate the full body of work voters have rewarded throughout the season. The Spartans now own decisive wins over Mississippi, Washington, Chicago, and Kansas City, four teams currently inside the Top 11. A week 8 rematch with the Panthers is the only thing standing in their way of staying at the top.

Behind them, the climb of the Utah Falconz became one of the clearest stories of the Week 7 poll. Utah moved firmly into the No. 2 spot after improving to 5-0, continuing one of the most disciplined undefeated runs in recent WNFC history. Utah owns victories over Kansas City, Los Angeles, and Seattle, while continuing to limit opponents offensively week after week. Their defensive consistency, combined with one of the league’s most difficult offensive systems to prepare for, appears to have fully solidified voter confidence heading into the final week of the regular season. With the Rebellion next up in week 8, can they continue their undefeated run this season?

The movement between Mississippi and San Diego also revealed how tightly contested the championship tier remains.

Mississippi climbed to No. 3 after another dominant performance against Tennessee, while San Diego slipped to No. 4 despite remaining one of the league’s most balanced teams overall. The difference likely came down to recent momentum and comparative late-season results. Mississippi’s only loss remains against Texas Elite, while the Panthers continue stacking convincing wins over playoff-level competition, including Atlanta and Florida. San Diego’s résumé remains extremely strong, but the Week 6 loss to Kansas City continues to influence how voters evaluate the top four entering the final week.

One of the tightest areas in this week’s rankings emerged around Washington, Kansas City, and Atlanta as voters continued to sort through three teams with strong postseason résumés and very little separation between them.

Washington strengthened its hold on the No. 5 position after one of the most complete performances of the season in a 57-0 win over Jersey Shore. Meanwhile, Kansas City remained close behind at No. 6, with voters continuing to weigh the Glory’s elite wins against occasional inconsistency earlier in the season. The gap between those teams remains narrow because both résumés carry significant strengths: Washington continues to dominate defensively, while Kansas City still owns one of the most important wins of the season over San Diego.

Atlanta holding steady at No. 7 may have quietly been one of the more important results in the poll. The Truth’s win over Chicago reinforced their ability to consistently handle teams competing in the middle playoff tier, and voters appear to value Atlanta’s overall balance and late-season stability as the postseason approaches.

Further down the rankings, the conversation around the final playoff positions continues to tighten.

The Los Angeles Legends and Golden State Storm remained locked at No. 8 and No. 9, respectively, highlighting one of the more interesting debates inside the rankings room. Los Angeles continues to hold the edge based on overall résumé strength and offensive production across the season, while Golden State’s late-season growth continues to gain attention among both coaches and WFRC voters. Their Week 8 matchup now becomes one of the most important games of the regular season, with potential conference playoff implications and a chance for both teams to make a final statement before postseason rankings are finalized.

Meanwhile, Oregon’s climb into the Top 10 represented one of the most meaningful moves of the week. The Ravens’ win over Las Vegas, combined with continued respect for their physical rushing identity, allowed Oregon to move ahead of both Chicago and Florida entering the final week of play.

The lower portion of the rankings also continued to show how heavily voters value schedule strength. Despite sitting at 1-4, the Chicago Winds remained ahead of multiple two-win teams because of the caliber of opponents they’ve faced throughout the season. Florida and Jersey Shore, meanwhile, continue to sit close enough that one final week result could still reshape portions of the postseason picture.

Ultimately, Week 7 voting reinforced one thing more than anything else. The top of the league may be stabilizing, but the postseason structure is still very much alive.

If the Playoffs Started Today...

The conference playoff structure is beginning to take shape, but several positions remain fluid heading into the final week.

Eastern Conference Tournament

  • #1 Texas Elite Spartans vs. #4 Atlanta Truth

  • #2 Mississippi Panthers vs. #3 Washington Prodigy

Western Conference Tournament

  • #1 Utah Falconz vs. #4 Los Angeles Legends

  • #2 San Diego Rebellion vs. #3 Kansas City Glory

Still looming just outside the projected playoff structure is the newest franchise to the WNFC this season, the Golden State Storm. One result this weekend could shift the entire bracket. And that’s what makes the final week so important.

One Week Left

The rankings may finally be settling, but the playoff picture is not. Heading into the final week of the regular season, the WNFC remains exactly where great football thrives, under pressure. Who carries momentum into conference playoffs? And which teams make their final statement before postseason football begins?

  • Texas Elite Spartans AT Mississippi Panthers

  • Utah Falconz AT San Diego Rebellion

  • Golden State Storm AT Los Angeles Legends

  • Kansas City Glory AT Las Vegas Silver Stars

  • Chicago Winds AT Jersey Shore Wave

  • Florida Avengers AT Washington Prodigy

  • Oregon Ravens AT Seattle Majestics

One week remains. Every snap matters. Catch it all this Saturday, LIVE, on Victory+.
