DALLAS– Women’s National Football Conference (WNFC), one of the fastest growing sports leagues in the country, announced the selection of Pittsburgh-based GOALS as its media and sponsorship sales agency of record. GOALS, a female-founded marketing & sponsorship agency that is fully dedicated to growing women's sports, will be responsible for executing a comprehensive corporate partnership strategy as the Women’s National Football Conference continues to chase down equity for women’s football.
Headed into its 5th season in Spring 2024, the WNFC is advancing professional women’s tackle football at lightning speed. Featuring 16 teams across the US, the WNFC launched in 2019 with groundbreaking multi-year partnerships with adidas and Riddell Sports. The partnerships were extended in 2022, as the league also signed historic distribution deals with DAZN and CaffeineTV.
The league's corporate partnership momentum continued when DICK’S Sporting Goods became the official sports retail partner of the WNFC.
“This partnership represents another massive step towards professionalism for women's tackle football. Seeing more corporate partners lock arms with the WNFC is not merely a catalyst for the growth of this business; it is the bridge between aspiration and achieving equity in football for women. It's time for women who play football to ascend new heights and bring like minded companies along for the ride. GOALS not only believe, they know. They know that women’s tackle football is the next frontier in the explosive growth of women's sports, and the WNFC is leading the way. This partnership will change the game for the better, for all of us!” - Odessa Jenkins - Founder of the WNFC
Founded in 2020, GOALS helps women's sports properties sign more sponsorship deals - and help brands see the business value around investing in women's sports. Currently, women’s sports are grossly undervalued, despite research that shows that sponsors of women’s sports teams actually see better returns on their investments than sponsors of men’s sports teams. To-date, GOALS has fostered women’s sports partnerships with brands that include Topps, Gatorade, New Era, PNC Bank, Athleta, Canadian Tire, Ally, and ORIJEN Petfoods, and more. By partnering with the WNFC, GOALS will work to show brands the social and economic value associated with investing in professional women’s tackle football.
“Women’s sports currently receive less than 1% of global sponsorship dollars, and our goal is to change that by showing brands, companies and people in general that it’s good business to invest in women’s sports,” said Caroline Fitzgerald, CEO & Founder of GOALS. “While we have a long way to go until gender equity is reached in professional tackle football, we are absolutely inspired by the incredible work that the WNFC has done to change the game for women in football, and we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to plug-in to help accelerate their glass-shattering efforts.”
Headed into its 5th season in 2024, the WNFC is the most advanced women’s tackle football league in the world. The organization has a mission to accelerate equity in sports for women through the power of football. Featuring 16 teams across the US, the WNFC is a thrilling sports property. In 2018, the WNFC signed a groundbreaking multi-year partnership with adidas. The partnership with adidas was extended in 2022, as the league also signed groundbreaking distribution deals with DAZN and CaffeineTV.
The league's momentum continues with its partnership with Riddell Sports, DICK’S Sporting Goods, United Sports Brands, and HUMBL.
