WNFC 2025 Stat Leaders: Who’s Rising, Who’s Ready, and What to Watch with Two Weeks to Go

With just two weeks remaining in the WNFC 2025 regular season, playoff races are heating up and individual stars are staking their claim to league dominance.

From record-setting performances to surprise team surges, here’s who’s standing tall, who could climb, and what fans should be watching heading into Week 7.

Offensive Juggernauts: Who's Lighting Up the Scoreboard

At the top of the scoring charts, Texas Elite Spartans (173 points, 34.6 PPG) are flexing their muscle. Michelle Angel, the league’s TD leader with 13 passing scores, continues to pilot the most balanced and dangerous offense in the WNFC. Her chemistry with receivers like Maria Jackson, Summer McNeal and Ashley McBay has made every Spartan possession a scoring threat.

Challenging them are the Washington Prodigy (133 points, 33.2 PPG) who boast dual-QB efficiency from Ashley Clark and Jennell Thomas. Add explosive playmakers like Mackenzie Vest and Shaquanda Gainey, and Prodigy are in prime position to remain perfect through Week 7.

The Mississippi Panthers (128 points) are close behind and have quietly become a lethal air attack thanks to QB Melyse Brown and deep threat Rashida Young. Don’t be surprised if they finish with the most efficient offense overall.

Defensive Fortresses: Who’s Locking It Down

The San Diego Rebellion remain the gold standard defensively, giving up a jaw-dropping 2.2 points per game. Led by an all-pro trio of Brittani Lusain, Katie Claxton, and Elisa Nguyen, Rebellion have suffocated opponents with speed and discipline.

Close behind, the Elite Spartans (5.2 PPG) continue to enforce their will in the trenches. Deana Simmons-Guidry is one to watch, already with 9 tackles for loss and a growing reputation as a backfield nightmare.

Another team making defensive noise is Washington Prodigy. With Myla Somerville leading the league in interceptions (4) and Tashaun Leigh topping pass deflections, they’re forcing turnovers at a high clip.

Ground Game: Who’s Owning the Run

No one’s done more on the ground than the Rebellion, who lead the league with 903 rushing yards. Kesz Wesley (343 yds, 5 TDs) and Regina Escoto Macias (316 yds, 4 TDs) are the most dominant backfield duo in the league, expect them to finish 1-2 in rushing.

Destanie Yarbrough of the Elite Spartans (313 yds, 7.3 YPC) has been a force, while Brynn McNabb (Silver Stars) leads the league in yards per carry (10.9) and continues to rip off game-changing runs.

Through the Air: QB Stars Emerging

Sarah Teubner of the Chicago Winds is having a season to remember. With 12 TDs to just 1 interception and a league-best 107 passer rating, she’s a front-runner to lead the league.

QB Michelle Angel remains elite, but don’t sleep on Karen Mulligan (Wave), who leads the league in passing yards (676). While she’s had turnover trouble (6 INTs), her deep ball to Madison Grayson is electric.

Tackling Machines and Sack Leaders

Madeline Violette (Winds) is on pace to lead the WNFC in combined tackles (52) and defensive touchdowns (1 FR TD, 1 INT TD). She’s the heartbeat of a defense that quietly ranks in the top 5.

Alexis Greer (Ravens) leads the league with 4.5 sacks, while Jazmin Gamble and Laurisa Hollenshed (Legends) have also become pocket disruptors.

Special Teams X-Factors

The Majestics have a true weapon in Adriana Gutierrez, who leads all players in kickoff return yards and has one of the season’s few return touchdowns. She also ranks top five in rushing, a true two-way threat.

Look out for Tara Thomas (Panthers) and Kay Lewis (Majestics) in the return game, both have housed punts this season and have game-breaking speed.

Players to Watch Heading Into Week 7

  • Texas Elite Spartans vs Houston Mambas – A tune-up opportunity for the Spartans before a possible playoff 1-seed showdown. Expect big stats from Angel and Yarbrough.

  • San Diego Rebellion vs Oregon Ravens – Can the Rebellion maintain their defensive dominance? Watch Kesz Wesley chase the rushing crown.

  • Washington Prodigy vs Jersey Shore Wave – A battle of the air attacks. Can Mulligan (Wave) outduel the two-headed QB monster of the Prodigy?

  • Chicago Winds vs Tennessee Trojans – QB Sarah Teubner continues her rookie of the year campaign. All eyes on her chemistry with league-leading receiver Dajour Miles (301 yds, 8 TDs).
