At the midpoint of the 2026 WNFC season, the focus sharpens. Four weeks of play have set the foundation. Now, the urgency builds. Every possession, every performance, and every result is tied directly to playoff positioning. After an exciting set of week four matchups, let’s see where the rankings have fallen.
THE TOP TAKING SHAPE
1. TEXAS ELITE SPARTANS (+1)
Texas is back where they started, looking even more intentional.
After a week off, the Spartans returned to reclaim the top spot, continuing to define the league’s most physical identity. Their formula hasn’t changed: control the line, establish the run, and close games defensively.
In a season where volatility has reshaped the rankings week to week, Texas remains the most reliable force in the WNFC.
2. SAN DIEGO REBELLION (–1)
San Diego doesn’t fall far, but the gap at the top is tightening.
Still one of the most complete teams in the league, the Rebellion continue to win with balance, discipline, and efficiency. The difference now isn’t performance, it’s pressure. Every top team is being evaluated through the lens of consistency.
San Diego is still firmly in the title conversation.
3. UTAH FALCONZ (+1)
Utah keeps climbing, and doing it their way.
Built on discipline, tempo control, and a system that forces opponents out of rhythm, the Falconz continue to prove their success isn’t situational, it’s structural.
At this point, Utah isn’t a surprise. They’re a problem.
4. MISSISSIPPI PANTHERS (–1)
Mississippi slides slightly, but nothing about their identity changes.
Still one of the most balanced teams in the league, the Panthers continue to lean on a defense that limits opportunities and an offense that’s finding rhythm at the right time.
They remain firmly in the championship tier.
THE CONTENDERS HOLDING THE LINE
5. WASHINGTON PRODIGY (+1)
Washington responds.
After slipping in Week 3, the Prodigy stabilize and move back into the top five. This is a team that continues to show flashes of control on both sides of the ball.
Now, the focus shifts from response to consistency.
6. KANSAS CITY GLORY (–1)
Kansas City remains one of the most dynamic teams in the league, but the margin at the top is tight.
KC continues to show production on both sides of the ball, with an offense that can control tempo and a defense that creates disruption. The challenge now is stacking complete performances week over week.
7. ATLANTA TRUTH (+2)
Atlanta continues to prove it belongs in the postseason conversation.
Even in a tightly contested Atlantic race, the Truth are showing they can produce offensively and sustain drives against top competition. Their identity is holding under pressure, and that matters this late in the season.
8. LOS ANGELES LEGENDS (–1)
Los Angeles remains one of the most productive offenses in the WNFC.
The ability to move the ball consistently keeps them competitive in every matchup. The next step is turning production into separation.
THE PLAYOFF PUSH
9. GOLDEN STATE STORM (+1)
Golden State continues its steady rise. What started as a correction has turned into consistency. The Storm are now showing balance on both sides of the ball, with a defense that continues to impact games and an offense that has found rhythm.
10. CHICAGO WINDS (–2)
Chicago drops, but remains within striking distance. The Winds still have the defensive presence to disrupt games, but offensive consistency remains the question. With time running short, urgency becomes the defining factor.
11. JERSEY SHORE WAVE (+1)
Jersey Shore inches forward. In a tightly packed middle tier, small improvements matter. The Wave remain in a position where a strong finish could shift their trajectory quickly.
12. OREGON RAVENS (+1)
Oregon continues to lean into its identity. A strong ground game and ability to stay competitive in tight matchups keeps them relevant late into the season.
THE BATTLE TO CLIMB UNDER PRESSURE
13. FLORIDA AVENGERS (–2)
Florida slides as the playoff picture tightens. Still physical and defensively sound, but in a crowded field, consistency is the difference between holding ground and losing it.
14. SEATTLE MAJESTICS (+0)
Seattle remains competitive, but results haven’t followed. The ability to produce offensively is there, but finishing games continues to be the gap.
15. LAS VEGAS SILVER STARS (+0)
Las Vegas continues to fight through a difficult stretch. The flashes remain, but with only two weeks left, urgency has to turn into execution.
16. TENNESSEE TROJANS (+0)
Tennessee continues to compete, but the results haven’t shifted. In a season this short, time has simply run out to find rhythm.
WHAT WEEK 4 CONFIRMED
At this point in the season, the formula is no longer a theory, it’s proven:
Teams that control the line of scrimmage are separating
Teams that play disciplined defense are sustaining
Teams that execute situationally are rising
