Week 1 Plays of the Game

Denver Bandits at Utah Falconz
Play of the Game: On fourth and three in the fourth quarter with only 3:43 remaining, Utah had an errant snap on a punt attempt that resulted in a turnover on downs giving Denver the ball inside the 20-yard line. Denver QB Tory Tongaloa #6 completed the next pass for a touchdown to Sharika Shillingsworthwith #82 the extra point giving the Bandits the come-from-behind win.
Atlanta Phoenix at Alabama Fire
Play of the Game: Atlanta Phoenix running back Brittney Smith #16 took an inside handoff on fourth and four and picked up five yards and the first down on the Phoenix’s first possession of the game to extend a drive that began inside the 20-yard line after the opening kickoff had pinned the Alabama Fire at their own 2-yard line. Two plays later, Jay Walker #7 rushed from 8-yards out for the game's only score.
Washington Prodigy at Florida Avengers
Play of the Game: Prodigy running back Jasmine Ballard #9 took a handoff from the Prodigy 33-yard line and busted through the Avengers defense for the second touchdown of the game. An offsides penalty against Florida on the extra point set up a two-point conversion that extended the Prodigy lead to 15-0 in the second quarter.
Mississippi Lady Panthers at Houston Heat
Play of the Game: Facing a brutal pass-rush, Houston Heat quarterback Brittney Carney #5 had her pass float and it was picked off by Panthers Temisha Andrew #15 who returned the ball deep into Houston territory, finally being brought down at the Houston 19-yard line. The interception set up Panthers quarterback Regina Jackson #3 who scored her second touchdown of the day.
Texas Elite Spartans at Kansas City Glory
Play of the Game: After the Texas Elite Spartans defense forced a three-and-out to start the game, the ensuing punt was returned to the Glory 33-yard line where the Elite Spartans offense took over. Destiny Yarbrough #36 took the hand-off straight through the heart of the Glory defense for a walk-in touchdown to open an early lead and set the tone of the game.
Las Vegas Silver Stars at Los Angeles Legends
Play of the Game: After the Los Angeles Legends scored a touchdown with only 1:14 seconds remaining in the game to cut the Silver Stars lead to two points, the Las Vegas defense forced an incomplete pass on the ensuing two-point conversion attempt to seal the narrow victory.
Oregon Ravens at Seattle Majestics
Play of the Game: Oregon Ravens running back and free safety Kylee O’Connor #2 punched a line-drive field goal kick through the uprights from 27-yards to give Oregon the three-point victory against their Northwestern rivals after going through double overtime to break the tie score.
San Diego Rebellion at Phoenix Prowlers
Play of the Game: After being dominated throughout the game, the Prowlers had an opportunity to get points on the board as the game clock wound down. Prowlers running back Chelsea Arnwine #1 was unable to handle the direct snap and the loose ball was recovered by Stephanie Lopez #55 of the Rebellion to ice the victory.
