A Letter from WNFC Commissioner Janice Masters

As we count down the days to kickoff, I welcome you to the 2024 Women’s National Football Conference season, where we celebrate the spirit and passion of the athletes, coaches, staff, and fans through our Ballin in Love theme, paying homage to those who have dedicated their lives to women’s football.

The start of a new season symbolizes fresh beginnings, renewed determination, and the opportunity to strive for excellence both on and off the field. It is a time when athletes, coaches, staff, and fans unite under the banner of our beloved sport, bound by a shared passion and commitment to success.

2023 was a record season for the WNFC. We had games streamed in 32 countries, increased streaming viewership by 40%, saw 25% growth in game attendance, and grew record digital engagement on our platforms. We expanded to 3 divisions for the regular season and witnessed the most competitive WNFC playoff weekends to date, leading up to the 2023 IX Cup Championship in Frisco, TX.

Over the past months, meticulous planning, rigorous training, and unwavering dedication have paved the way for this season. In case you missed it this offseason, we have awarded a WNFC expansion team to Chicago for the 2025 season, led by Angelique M. Smith, a Chicago entrepreneur, philanthropist, USA Gold Medalist and founder of The Clean Junkie.

This offseason, we’ve gained new athletes and we’ve witnessed a number of our top All Pro athletes change jerseys, which is sure to create rivalries, and elevate the competition to the highest level yet in women's football.

As we set our sights on the goals that lie ahead, we look forward to that June night in Frisco, TX, where we’ll crown our 2024 WNFC IX Cup Champion. Together, let us strive to make this season one that will be remembered for years to come, a testament to the enduring spirit of football and the remarkable individuals who make it all possible.

I extend my best wishes to each and every one of you for a safe, successful, and unforgettable season. May your passion for the game continue to inspire you, and may the unique bonds of the football community serve as a source of strength and joy in the days ahead.

Janice Masters

Commissioner of the WNFC/Ballin in Love since 2006
